Leslie Xavier
With a background in architecture, Leslie brings a particular passion for the archeaoligal sites of ancient Greece and Rome.
While in Italy, she has had the opportunity to participate in archaeological research conducted in Stabia and Pompeii with the University of Maryland in 2009. Since 2010, she has also served on the staff of Pompeii Food and Drink , working in Pompeii and gathering data for an ongoing study.
Leslie has been with IAS since 2008, serving as Vice President in 2009 and has served as President since 2010.
She enjoys the thrill of discovering and exploring the Naples area. She is always interested in sharing the knowledge and history of the secrets that abound here.

Jorge Silva
Jorge Silva, our Vice-President for NATO, brings a Portuguese latin “taste” to our board.
As a naval officer he has experienced exciting adventures around the World, from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, from tropical Africa to northern Europe and from the Middle to the Far East.
A master in Maritime History, he welcomes the opportunity to discover the dark corners of the Neapolitan History and sharing his experiences with all who are interested.
Jorge also serves as a Resident Hisotrian and translator for IAS.
